Veterans' Day Dinner

Thank you to the Three Rivers Kiwanis members, American Legion Post #41, Milo Elementary Singers, PVMS Builders Club, PVHS Key Club, Local Girl Scouts and community members. 
 

Milo, Maine:  On Veterans Day, Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at the Milo Town Hall the Three Rivers Kiwanis sponsored a dinner, ceremony and entertainment as a thank you for all that our veterans have done for all of us. 

Veterans from WWII, Korea, Vietnam,  Beirut, Lebanon, Granada, Desert Storm plus families and widows were served a roasted turkey dinner prepared by Val Robertson and her Kiwanis kitchen crew, the meal was served by Kiwanis, Key Club and Builders Club  members.  Each placemat was custom designed by a local school students.  The meal was enjoyed by all. As well as several home bound veterans received a personal home delivery by a Kiwanis member.

The members of the American Legion Post #41 performed the POW/MIA ceremony.

Then the students of the Milo Elementary Singers under the guidance of Stephanie Gillis filled the stage with 45 minute performance of music and dance which bought many of the audience to their feet. Each veteran will was able to take home a special message.

The clean up crew was made up of the local Girl Scouts, community members, Kiwanis, Key Club and Builders Club  members.
