Gearing Up for Secret Santa

The elves are getting busy

The Annual Three Rivers Kiwanis Secret Santa has started collecting toys, coats, boots, socks, mittens and more to meet the needs of the Three Rivers area.

The donation of toys from the United Bikers of Piscataquis County helped us get a great start to meet our needs. Last year, we served over a 150 area children and we are planning for the number to go up with the tough area economy. The Three Rivers Kiwanis Club has partnered with the Piscataquis Santa and “Toys for Tots” program said Project Leader Bonnie Hurley.

Starting on Sunday, November 1st, needy families will be able to register their children at www.ThreeRiversKiwanis.org or www.PiscataquisResources.org and then click on the Piscataquis Santa graphic and complete the online form. The deadline for registrations is Friday, November 20th. This deadline is important to the project so that as many children as possible can be served by Secret Santa. If you don’t have access to a computer please visit your local library or school.

The club will be also selling raffle tickets to help support this large area project.

If members of the community would like to donate to support this important event, donations can be made at Maine Savings and Camden National in Milo or can be sent to Three Rivers Kiwanis, PO Box 114, Milo, ME 04463.

For more information visit our web site at www.ThreeRiversKiwanis.org or call Project Leader Bonnie Hurley at 943-5645

The Three Rivers Kiwanis meets every Wednesday morning at 6:30 am in Milo at the Hobnobbers located at 45 West Main Street.
